WATCH THE BOUNCING BALL

GRAPHITE SPHERES
7TH GRADE ART WHEEL - 3RD QUARTER 2015-2016
graphite & colored pencil

I had a lot of talent in this 3rd Quarter group starting with Reese Velez below.
She came into the class with guns blazing,
not only showing me her skills with pencil but also with colored pencil,
for a bit of extra credit.

Next up check out Briana Lay with her amazing shading abilities.
Her range of value and transitions are over the top outstanding!

Next up is Elvie Crisologo.
We saw several of her twin sister Neri's pieces earlier in the year.
Both girls came to me with great design skills.
And this piece really shows off Elvie's critical thinking when it comes to composition.
Wonderful piece kiddo!

Here we have Loren Kim.
Loren was also one of my most outstanding 7th graders this year.
Check out the crosshatching in the pear.
Keep in mind that only pencil was required.
These super duper students brought in the colored pencil to show me what they had
as well as pick up some extra credit.

And clever Lena Pattamadilok also had the gumption to show off her pen & ink work.
Love that she was brave enough to do that which really made this piece pop!

Fantastic job young ones!

  1. Love how the pear melts into the background ... and yes, the crosshatching
