Last year sophomore Karisma had an independent study art class with me, so she was able to set her own course. This amazing bas relief structure was the culmination of several of the pieces she worked on put together. So enjoy!

Close up of the embossed metal heart
These next pix are side views of how she used recycled materials to build with to hold her dyed cloth up with.
Above are packing pieces that she glued together, and below are used pieces of wire from the scrap bag.
Rolled up newspapers, and toothpicks (not used)_LOL
A better look at her metal sculpture that dangles in front.
Again, from all the scrap pieces that were leftovers!
You are thinking really imaginative, outside the box, creative, impressive child??
Yeap!! You nailed her. And she is just so much more. Working with Karisma on a daily basis for the past 5 years has been one of the highlights of my teaching career.
Can't wait to see where she goes from here!
Hats off to Joohi Sood for raising two beautiful, bright, kind-hearted young women on your own!!
