I wanted to try eco-dyeing with my red tulips from up on the mountain, plus I had some lovely dried rose petals from my Open House bouquet that I picked from our school gardens.
The results were spectacular. I used a soy milk pre-mordant and a rusty nail to bundle the fabric with.
And when I rinsed off the the remnants I didn't loose any color.
Yay!
My students want to know what I will do with them?
No idea yet, perhaps a bed quilt with all my others at a way later date.
Like when I retire :)
This is gorgeous! I love the hue the rose petals give, wonderful Deb - Hugs Nat
