Sighting-Corner of Room - Student Work

Every year as I'm teaching from Dr. Betty Edward's "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" book, I have the kids draw a corner of my room using with their new sighting skills. Betty teaches threw sighting angles and distances rather then doing it mathmatically thru 1 & 2 point perspective. In my beginning drawing class I like to start with Betty's method, then in 2nd year drawing I teach perspective. So the kids learn both. I also encourage the students to alter reality in their corner drawings and these were my 2 favorites this year. The top one belongs to junior Crislyn Ogawa and the one below was done by sophomore Ashley Tang

Really fun pieces girls!
