My Ceramics I students love this assignment because they end up with an organic and lovely vase form and it only takes one day to make. The clay is allowed to get ripped and misshapen, even better!

Awesome! I have kids do slabs around a newspaper core, these are so organic! I may try this - did they work on the slab and then roll into the vessel shape? Thanks! - Chris
