Bound Journals - Student Work

Intermediate 3-d art, these are for you.  Your two choices for binding your felt and leather journals.  So look closely.  Above in junior Emily Yang's book is a great example of the Long Stitch Binding (go here to watch a tutorial at Youtube.com/watch?v=LVkO6dyOBtg for Part I and Youtube.com/watch?v=trSQuwCVYMM&NR=I for Part II, and below junior Alice and senior Aparna have chosen the Coptic Binding (see this tutorial at Youtube.com/watch?v=nHAJyzzb4EE.  In the Long Stitch your journal is made in one long piece.  In the Coptic Binding you are making two separate pieces.
