This glorious Crimson King Maple is one year old this last weekend.
I planted it last fall at the cabin and it survived the elements;
it's leaves finally turned this last weekend.
I just couldn't be more tickled.
I will be trying a bit of eco-dyeing with a few of its leaves this week.
I'm taking another fabulous online class with India Flint.
I will be updating you all periodically.
So stay tuned in!
May your Crestline hold against the ongoing rain of fires in California ...
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz, now it's my son, his fiance' and her parents who are in the fire zone out in Calabasas. They are right on the edge of it on the east. Have sent out so many prayers. We are in a drought again and I keep wondering where the firefighters are going to get all the water they will need. Already heard about a friend who lost his entire home in Paradise. Went thru his whole town. So very sad. All of Cali is just so dry and when the winds come it gets bad. So many fire trucks and helicopters on the roads and in the air on our mountain on high alert. My fingers are crossed.
DeleteI will keep stitching ... may you be safe ... may they be safe ... may all creatures be safe ...
DeleteSo far so good Liz. The winds finally died down and they are getting those fires under control.
