Last school year, sophomore Karisma Dev entered the City of Cerritos' Recycled Art Contest in conjunction with Earth Day. She was the top award winner with this piece entitled "Forever Running". Karisma also happens to be a runner on our Cross Country team so this was a self-portrait in a way.
Karisma is well versed in working 3-dimensionally with various materials, she has taken 4 levels of 3-D with me here at Whitney, and she'll tell you, we do a lot of projects with recycled materials that I've dumpster dived for LOL.
