Beach weather does amazing things to flowers here in So.Cal. I love to walk amongst the homes on the island and admire all the lovely gardens, plus the shopping isn't bad either :) I believe the flower above is called a passion flower, but not completely sure. I just know that I love the way it looks from the color of it's foliage to the tiny, squiggly tendrils that create so much happiness along the petals edges, to the dramatic purple stripping inside.
I can grow sunflowers but mine never get as large as these big beauties.
Even though the patios are small on the island, it's incredible what some home gardeners can cram into such a small space. Love it!
