Buckle Up!

DISTRICT ART SHOW
ALL ART CLASSES
mixed media

Not many  people realize what it takes to move fragile and valuable art works from place to place.
But with the help of my trusty art assistants, alum Allysa Olea, and senior James Cho, they made it happen.
Three of our figure sculptures were so large that they needed to be strapped in  LOL
Alyssa had to borrow her mother's big SUV so that it only took her one trip to get everything over to the district office.
Then another 2 hours between the 3 of us to hang the show.
It was kind of slim pickens this year with hardly any of the other school's art instructors participating.
Whitney had the largest and I felt most sophisticated displays (I'm biased of course  LOL) with Cerritos High coming in second.
Just a few piece were brought in from Gahr and Artesia Highs.
So overall, not much of a show.
Oh well,
there is always next year.

These are all our displays, and we received a lot of positive feedback.

I'd like to give a big thank you to Alyssa and James for helping me to make this happen.
